Bollinger Champagne is the second largest independent Champagne House. It was founded in the Ay region of Champagne in the year 1829.
Bollinger PN TX 20 is a blanc de noirs Champagne made exclusively from pinot noir. This multi-vintage Champagne has a base year of 2020. Vinification consists of 50% stainless steel tanks and 50% French oak barrels. Formulation consisted of 100% grands and premiers crus.
Base year 2020 comprises 48% of the multi-vintage composition. The oldest reserve wines (2008 and 2012) make up more than 25%.
Vineyards: 40% of the grapes come from the village of Tauxières based on the 2020 vintage and the remaining composition largely from Aÿ and Avenay.
Nose: “The nose opens with scents of fresh citrus and lemon, followed by aromas of white stone fruits, peach and quince. The finish is enhanced by subtle mineral, flinty notes.”
Palate: “First, notes of redcurrant and subtle freshness. Then comes beautiful richness, depth and vinosity with delicate touches of stewed fruits bringing extra complexity, all coming together in a lovely long finish.”
